You'll notice the Feather head is slightly wider - the blade "ears" are completely covered, and it's impossible to nick your earlobes, fingers or nose with the end of the blade - the Bronze has a more conventional (and slightly taller) head, with the blade ends exposed. An aggressive blade in the Bronze will make it in fact an aggressive razor - I stick to Silver Blues. The Feather, for me, performs best with it's own blades - a Feather. The Bronze is a stunning looker the Feather is Japanese all business. The Bronze has more heft than a SS, so really sort of moves itself across your face, but you have to be careful not to add too much user intervention and just let the razor work. The Feather is easier to maneuver and lighter - hence easier to lighten up on pressure it's hard to do any damage with a Feather. 029 I believe, but they really don't advertise it. 078 OC, which is close to your R89 but far from the Feather the OC will definitely add aggressiveness), and Feather is reported around. Bearing in mind that the blade is 0.1mm thick, exposure is “at least” 0.2mm and NOT 0.05mm (as described on the Timeless Website): View attachment 1206062įIRST SHAVE REPORT View attachment 1206071 Brush: Semogue Torga-C3 Finest Mistura 22/49 Soap: Rasozero Agrumella Razor: Timeless SSSlim OC (on my favorite WFSR handle) Blade: Nacet (4) ASL: Rasozero AgrumellaHave and use both - the Feather is definitely a milder razor, although most here would classify both as "mild." Thanks to (Enabler Extraordinaire) Gus and his thread Timeless Ti & Stainless Thin Razor. I’m now on Timeless Slim Training and will post my subsequent shaves here for anyone who’s interested. ![]() ![]() Whatever, it's good that we're all different. How other "steep anglers" manage with 100mm vaulting poles is beyond me (maybe they just have bigger and flatter faces and necks than me). but my favorite handle length is in the 70mm to 75mm range for superior maneuverability and being able to stay close to my face/neck for all the nooks and crannies. My WFSR handle is 80mm long and I like it very much. Hopefully today's shave wasn't just beginners luck.įor me the geometry of the razor says "the steeper the better." That's the reason I didn't purchase a Timeless handle as their shortest appears to be 85mm. ![]() Timeless say "There is a lot of blade feel with this razor but it is smooth and efficient if done correctly."
